Lubricants – more comfort and pleasure with every touch

Lubricants improve glide, reduce friction and dryness, and make intimate moments more enjoyable – solo or with a partner. Most popular types of lubricant

• Water-based lubricants: the universal everyday choice. Compatible with condoms and all sex toys, easy to wash off and stain-free.
• Silicone-based lubricants: extra long-lasting, rarely need reapplying and can be used in water. Not recommended with silicone toys.
• Anal lubricants: thicker consistency for safer, more comfortable use with anal toys.
• Flavoured or scented lubricants: for playful foreplay and oral sex – strawberry, cherry, chocolate, caramel and more. Flavoured lubes are safe to use for oral sex.
• Warming and cooling lubricants: for extra sensations and stimulation. A cooling lube feels refreshing, a warming lube creates gentle heat, and stimulating lubricants heighten sensitivity.
• Fisting lubricants: extra thick, long-lasting formulas for experienced users.
• Natural formulas: paraben-free and suitable for sensitive skin – a natural lubricant is a good choice if you want the simplest possible ingredient list.

How to choose a lubricant?

If you have sensitive skin or feel dryness, choose an unscented water-based lubricant, ideally with moisturising ingredients. For longer sessions and use in water, a silicone-based lubricant works better. With latex condoms use a water- or silicone-based lubricant – oil-based products damage latex. Oil-based lube or massage oil should not be used with condoms, while silicone-based lubricants also work great for an erotic massage.

Lubricants and sex toys

With vibrators, dildos and masturbators the safest choice is a water-based lubricant – it suits every material: silicone, TPE, glass, metal and plastic. Silicone-based lube can damage the surface of silicone toys, making it sticky or porous, so it is best avoided with them. With glass, metal and hard plastic toys, silicone lube is an excellent choice, as it keeps its glide for a long time. For masturbators and TPE, a thinner water-based lubricant works best, as it rinses out easily after use.

How to use lube and how much do you need?

Start with a small amount – a few drops or a pea-sized portion is enough – and apply it both to the body and to the toy or condom. If the glide fades, add more. A water-based lube can also be “revived” with a few drops of water. For anal sex you need more lubricant than usual, because the area does not produce its own moisture. If you are trying a warming, cooling or stimulating lube for the first time, test it on a small patch of skin first.

Store lubricant at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, and close the bottle tightly after use. Follow the expiry date printed on the packaging.
